 Cultural Terms:

Hi, guys welcome back to another blog post. Yesterday in Wananga our teachers gave us a couple of words, that we had to find out the meaning of the words and also we had to make a splat presentation showing our examples of the meaning of the words. We also had to find a couple of pictures that show culture and their identity. Here is my presentation please feel free to add a comment on what I could work on next time to make my presentation or blog better, also please leave a comment about where you are from.

Sheep Heart Dissection

Talofa lava guys welcome back to my blog. For today's last period we are going to be dissecting a sheep's heart. We are going to be exploring a sheep's heart, Have you ever explored or dissected a sheep's heart? Or any animal's heart?. I am really excited to do this because this is my first time seeing and dissecting a sheep's heart. The last time I got to dissect something was when we got to dissect a chicken, and that was gross but then also very interesting.

Our aim is: To explore the heart

Materials/ Method

  1. Scalpel, heart, tray, gloves, newspaper, scissors.

Findings
On the outside of the heart I found big patchs of white stuff which was fat, The fat felt rubber and hard ( To me the fat looked soft but it wasnt). When I had cut through the heart I saw lots of white things which were Tendons, And there were also lots of little rows of lines that sort of look like very thin string.

I will add a picture here tomorrw!

Summary and conclusion:
in conclusion, exploring A sheeps heart was very fun but also very gross. Since this was my first time experince I would give it a 7 out of ten. Next time I would like to get a little more time exploring the heart. Most of the things inside and outside of the heart were very intersting and very small and detailed.

Bullying - Hurumanu 5!

Hi, guys welcome back to another blog post for today I am going to be sharing some work we did in Hurumanu 5 which is health. In health, We learn about a lot of stuff like relationships, Puberty, and more. But for today I am going to be sharing some work we did base on bullying. We had to watch a couple of videos and then after that we had to write down what we go out of those videos we watched. What would you do if your friend or a stranger was getting bullied? would you help them? Or would you be a bystander and just watch them get bullied?. So are you a Bystander or an Outstander?

What I thought of the video and what I got out of the videos.

What I took from this video is that Kids get bullied in their everyday life and not only do kids get bullied but so do adults. From the first video, I watched there was a kid that had been bullied at school but what had helped them overcome their fear of people bullying him was getting into singing and rapping with his best friend that was almost like a brother to him. So basically if you are getting bullied try and do something you like doing they sport, singing, playing and instrument and more. This will help some kids or adults overcome their fear of people bullying them, And this just shows the bully that you are strong and they can’t put you down anymore.

What I got out of the second video was that kids at school are getting bullied a lot and they are often looking very sad and shy most of the time, And when kids are been bullied they don’t often tell people because they are either too shy to or they are embarrassed to tell people probably they are having at school or outside of school.

Thank you for reading my blog post.

Building shapes

 Building Shapes

Hi, guys welcome back to another blog post. For today I am going to be sharing some shapes that we have made today out of shapes. I was partner up with My friend Bailey and we worked together to make a couple shapes like a square, triangle Etc. We tried to make other shapes but that didn't really work out so we just decided to do other tricks with the strings. From today's shape making I learned that everything is not perfect and if you fail you keep trying and be resilient.

Materials:

  1. 8 feet string
  2.  2 people
  3. Scissors
I will post a picture of what I and my buddy made out of the strings soon.

Pobble - Mirrors

Hi guys welcome back to another blog post. Last week we were working on pobble writing, Pobble writing is a site that gives a person a picture and story starter and some questions they have to answer after they read the story starter. I have decided to pick a picture of a little girl looking in the mirrors on the walls. They weren't normal mirrors they were almost magical. When the girl looked into the mirrors she would find out her mood she is going to have for the day. These are the questions I had to answer, please leave a comment on what I could do better next time. Thank you.

How do the mirrors work? The mirrors on the wall are the pictures of herself each day. When she is looking at the mirror she sees a picture of her and that picture will predict what her mood would be like for the day.

How are the two mirrors different? Both mirrors have different emotions.  The first mirror is a picture of her smiling and she also looks really happy, But the other mirror looks like she is really sad and scared.

Which mirror does Claudia look in first? The mirror that she looked at first was a picture of her when she was happy.

Are the mirrors always the same? The mirrors aren't always the same every month it changes and it also depends on her mood.

Why does she ask this question each day? She asks these questions because she doesn't know where she is and why she is there.

What sort of day do you think Claudia will have? Well, it really depends on how she is feeling if she is happy she will have a good day but if she is sad she will have a bad day.

Do the mirrors change as Claudia gets older? Yes, the mirrors do change. As she gets older her mood and her actions change so the mirrors will also change.

What would happen if she didn’t look at the mirrors one day? If she didn’t look in the mirror one day she wouldn’t know or what her mood would be, And she wouldn’t know if she is growing or if her moods have changed.
