Dry ice Experiment!

Dry ice Experiment!

Kia ora everyone, Today in science we did another cool experiment. You may have heard of it but the experiment we did was a dry ice experiment. Where we had to put ice into cold water and then see it Subliming which means turning solid to gas. The other part of the experiment was adding soap to the liquid which makes the liquid turn into bubbles that are filled with gas (The gas that is formed when you put dry ice into water), And we also put a Ballon over the conical flask (where the dry ice was put) for it to be blown up with the gas that is been made.

Equipment:

  1. Beaker
  2. Soap
  3. Conical flask
  4. Dry ice
  5. Scooper
  6. Ballon
  7. Water
  8. Water
Method:
First, use a scooper or a spoon to scoop the dry ice out and put the dry ice into a conical flask or Beaker. After that step add water into the beaker or conical flask and watch the gas form. You can also add soap into the beaker for the gas to turn into bubbles, and then you can also put a ballon over it, so you can watch the ballon grow bigger as the gas is expanding into it.
