dirty water!

Aim: To make a filtration plant using household materials.

Water Filtration Plant

What is filtration?

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass. 

Examples are:

1. Pool filters 
2. Internet filters for examples Snapchat filters
3. Ceaning filters
4. Fish tank filters
5. Kettle filter
6. Air filters  
7. water filters
8. oil filters
9. removes bad things filters.

Materials

1. Fliter paper 

2. Funel

3. Sand

4. water bottle

5. Scissors n 

6. Rocks

7. Dirty water

8. cups 

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )

Step 1

cut the top of the bottle and save it for later because you are going to need to use it.

Step 2

Put the top half upside down in the bottle.

STEP 3

Add layers of sand and rocks but first you need to make a funnel made out of filtter paper and then put it on the top half of the bottle, then You add the sand first in side of the flitter paper that is inside the bottle after you add the rocks on top.

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water.

STEP 5

Pour dirty water into the funnel and watch the water drop and get clear.

Findings
 half of the water filter through this minute in the other minutes the rest of the water came running through.it started to drip a lot and than in 50s in the 3 minutes it started to stop.  
when we first poured the water it was clear but then it started to get darker and dirter.

Write a short sentence about the water every 1 minute. 

Include 'How much water has filtered through', 'How fast it is dripping through', and 'How clear the water is'.

Conclusion:
Our water didn't really turn clear that to what we had expected. It just stayed dirty witch was a shame but it did started to clear a little bite but not really. I thought there was only going to be a few drops but instead there was over 30 drops. It didn't start to stop until 4 minutes later.
