Aerodynamic - science

Aerodynamic

Definition:
The study of the properties of moving air and the interaction between the air and solid bodies moving through it.

Aim: To learn about flight and aerodynamics.

4 forces of flight:

  1. Gravity
  2. Thurst
  3. Lift
  4. Drag
Paper Plane:
Material 1. Paper
2. Paper clip

Steps:

1. Get an A4 paper and fold it in half and then open it up again.

2. Make sure that it doesn't look like a mountain/fold the top corners to make a triangle folding it onto the middle line.

3. After you fold the top corners down you fold the triangle that you made in the middle and fold it down weds to make it look like a mail that you get from a mail box.

Findings:
it would always go in an angle

Conclusion:
This was fun making paper planes. So after me and Bailey made our paper plane we tested it out it was really fast and It would always go on an angle.  The normal paper plane just swooped and didn't go very far. The paper plane with the paper clip also swooped but went in a straight line then swooped. The ailerons with the flaps swooped and didn't go that far.  The plane with the paper clip went furthest
